Therapist accused of sexual battery found dead in Port St. Lucie home

PORT ST. LUCIE — A therapist accused of sexually abusing a teenager was found dead Friday, according to Port St. Lucie police.
Robert Medina, 69, of the 10000 block of Southwest Village Parkway in Port St Lucie, was arrested Sept. 3 on one charge of sexual battery with a minor. He was accused of hypnotizing a teen patient and then sexually battering him.
Police tweeted about responding to a home Friday and finding Medina dead at the scene with apparent self-inflicted knife wounds.
