Ollie's Bargain Outlet in Stuart opens Wednesday, its first Treasure Coast location

Ollie's Bargain Outlet — one of the nation's largest retailers — is opening its first Treasure Coast location in Stuart on Wednesday.

The storefront, at 3010 S.E. U.S. 1 in the Martin Square shopping center near Chick-fil-a and Home Depot, will open its doors at 8:45 a.m., according to a news release.

Ollie's Bargain Outlet offers closeout merchandise and excess inventory items — products traditional retailers have discontinued and will no longer sell, its website says; so, shoppers can find anything and everything from sporting goods to housewares and groceries.

Prior to opening the Stuart location, the closest Ollie's Bargain Outlet stores were in West Palm Beach or Palm Bay. The retailer first opened in Pennsylvania in July 1982 and now has over 375 locations nationwide.
